Emerald Foundation

Founded in 2010 by Emerald CEO Joseph Besecker, the Emerald Foundation is a non-profit organization created to support the communities where we live and work as well as initiatives throughout the country.
The Foundation historically contributed funding to worthy charitable nonprofit organizations, that focus on education, youth and healthcare.  The Emerald Foundation recently purchased a 30,000 sq ft building in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, now called the Emerald Foundation Community Campus or “The E”.

Holiday Giving Project

Emerald Staff delivers over 125 baskets of food and necessities to families in need over the holidays.

Golf Outing

Emerald CEO Joe Besecker (r) kicks off the annual Foundation golf outing fundraiser – over 120 golfers attended the 2016 event, raising over $105,000 to help our communities.

Currently the Emerald Foundation is focusing on making its new building a “hub” for non-profits by providing discounted office space to a number of non-profits, and hosting and supporting weekly non-profit programming.  In addition, “The E” services the entire community by providing community events, monthly emerging artist series, speakers series, technology and recreational programs.  In addition, the ballroom, meeting and gymnasium space can be rented at competitive pricing to both non-profits and the community.

Our Vision:
Engage the community and non-profits in a way that will Enrich and Empower lives.  Everyone is welcome at “The E”

Our Mission:
Create a thriving community by providing services and support to non-profit organizations that focus on education, youth and healthcare research, while also offering opportunities for diverse communities to meet and learn from one another.

Utilizing the same analytical skills of Emerald Asset Management’s investment professionals, the Foundation seeks to support organizations that have a clearly-defined mission statement, utilize best practices and evidence-based methodologies, are good fiscal stewards of funds and can provide clearly demonstrated outcome measures.
